The Arc Baltimore, in partnership with the state and local entities, provides children throughout the Greater Baltimore area with treatment foster care services. Our Treatment Foster Care Program provides individualized, intentional, trauma-informed clinical services for children and families in our community, facilitating healthy development, lasting relationships, and lifelong success.
All children share the need to be part of a loving family and while no child comes with a guidebook, all parents have the potential to help children navigate their unique set of abilities and challenges.
Become a Foster Parent
"It takes a village to raise a child" - African proverb
Every child’s ‘village’ needs to work seamlessly to create a supportive, safe and trauma-sensitive environment for the child. Our village is made up of biological and foster families, our professional team of social workers, and all of the community partners who touch a child’s life. Within this environment children and families have the opportunity to learn the skills and tools necessary to prevent further out of home placements.
The Arc Baltimore’s primary goal is to increase the likelihood that a child is returned to their family of origin. A foster parent’s goal should be the same. We’d love your help.
