WEATHER UPDATE FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24
Due to the inclement weather, on Tuesday, December 24th, The Arc's day services locations in Dundalk, Homeland, Towson, and the Seton Business Park will operate with a 2-hour delay.
OUR MISSION
The Arc Baltimore supports people with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose and meaningful relationships.
Fund the Mission
We’re thrilled to share the debut of our mission appeal, "Supporting Families at Every Stage!" Thanks to the generosity of our guests at Art in the Round, we're over halfway to our goal of $75,000, and you can help us reach it!
Tis' the Season for Giving
Our annual Adopt-a-Family Drive pairs generous donors, groups, and businesses with families who have a child with disabilities for the holiday season. If you are interested in "adopting" a family for the holiday season or getting "adopted," please complete the appropriate application, and we will contact you shortly thereafter.
A Celebration of Artistry
Art in the Round brought together an enchanting blend of artists, family, and friends to celebrate creativity and generosity at its 23rd annual event. Over 250 attendees enjoyed a lively evening filled with competitive art bidding, opportunities to win a Toast to Tuscany, delicious food and drinks, a live art demonstration from Gregory Bannister, and the joy of witnessing the artists’ pride.
The Arc's Strategic Plan
In 2023, we took a fresh look at our Strategic Plan established in 2019, and we determined that our Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles, and Strategic Themes all remained vital and relevant. We refreshed our plan with updated objectives that reflected our accomplishments over the past few years, where we are today, and where we want to go in the next three years.

INCLUSIVE DEMOCRACY
Our annual report, Inclusive Democracy, reflects upon the significant impact and growth we experienced in 2023 and features New Hope for All members, a group of advocates who believe strongly in being included in all communities and having full citizenship rights.
We encourage you to meet the New Hope for All members who reflect on the importance of advocacy and voting as powerful tools for change.
Project SEARCH
Project SEARCH is an innovative one-year internship program for motivated Baltimore City and Baltimore County high school students and adults with disabilities. The program provides guidance and experience to those individuals who want to explore career options, develop real job skills, and learn to live more independently.
Join us for an information session to meet staff and interns and ask questions about this amazing program.
Start Your Career Here
The Arc Baltimore is actively recruiting for all open positions at their evening hiring event on April 11, 2024, from 4 pm - 7 pm. Applicants must bring a resume and valid driver's license with 3 years of driving experience, and they can apply, interview, and even get hired on the spot.
It's Awards Season!
Nominations are now open for The Arc Baltimore annual awards. There are many staff members, people with disabilities who we support, and community partners who have given so much of themselves to The Arc's mission and deserve recognition. Please consider nominating a candidate you feel is deserving of a special award.
This year’s annual report focuses on people who are living their lives on their own terms, plain and simple.
Nothing inspirational.
Nothing extraordinary.
Just people making the most of life. We invite you to read them as these are the stories that don’t always get told but are vital to the daily realization of our mission – a life well lived.
Driven by the success of the people we support
We strive to support people with developmental disabilities to live their best lives - whether they are finding success at their job, connecting with family and friends, or becoming engaged in their neighborhood. Here are just a few of the many success stories that fuel our mission!
Apply to our Family Fund
For people with developmental disabilities and their families, The Arc Baltimore administers a Family Fund that can be used for crises such as eviction prevention or utility turnoff, as well as needs not covered by insurance like some therapies, eyeglasses, wheelchair ramps, or other therapeutic equipment. It is also available to help with special needs to improve one’s life, such as an iPad, art lessons, or a gym membership for swimming.
The theme of this year's Fund the Mission appeal, which raises additional funds for The Arc, was Friendships We Treasure, which showed a small sample of the friends and relationships supported by the organization. Please give yourself a few minutes to enjoy and reflect on what friends mean here at The Arc – and to each of us.
The appeal remains open through October 31st, and we hope you will watch the video and choose to contribute – and help us reach our goal.
Art in the Round brought together a magical mix of artists, family, and friends to celebrate the talent and generosity at the 22nd annual event. More than 300 gathered for competitive bidding on art, chances on a Toast to Tuscany, fantastic food and drink, live art creation, and pure enjoyment at witnessing the artists' pride.
In addition to our sponsors, we thank the committee members, especially our chairs, Jen Brandenburg & Laura Ward, and our staff volunteers, who gave their time and creativity to make the evening a success.
Submit Your Artwork
Artists of all ages with developmental disabilities looking to have their art showcased and auctioned off at this year's Art in the Round must submit their artwork by Friday, September 1st. Please don't delay!
All artwork must be accompanied by a completed artist packet.
Tickets On Sale!
Art in the Round tickets are now available for purchase. In the meantime, please consider joining our title sponsor, Scientific Plant Service, by sponsoring Art in the Round, which entitles you to event tickets and many additional benefits!
Keep an eye out for when we open the virtual gallery and early mobile bidding, and when we promote our Toast to Tuscany raffle, the Fund the Mission appeal, and more.

Facing COVID: Annual Report
The amazing stories, told from many perspectives, in our latest digital annual report chronicle the past year as we faced COVID and continue to do so together. It documents the uncertainty, the challenges, the innovation, and most importantly, the hope demonstrated by our entire community.
Art in the Round was a Rousing Success!
Even though the event has passed, you can still watch the Curator Night and Art in the Round event videos, as well as the series of Meet The Artist profile videos. In addition, our mission appeal is still live through the end of October.
