MARIA HUDAK-ROSNER is many things. Her colorful paintings hang in the homes and offices in the Greater Baltimore area and are a feature of our annual “Art in the Round” fundraiser. She and Danny Rosner, her husband of 14 years, bowl on Saturdays and go to church on Sundays. They met when both worked at Oakcrest Senior Living in Parkville.

Maria worked in our Homeland center for many years but wanted more, so she participated in our Career Catalyst program. She is now the dining room attendant at Mercy Ridge retirement community in Timonium and loves interacting with the people there. She also loves depositing her paycheck.

Maria enthusiastically recommends The Arc’s employment programs. “Getting a job out in the community is hard,” she admits. “The Arc helped me, but it wasn’t easy. I had so many tests!”
